Makeup in Islam always seems to be a trending topic. People always ask me flat out: Is it right or wrong for a Muslimah to wear it? I’m not a mufti or a sheikha or anything, but I tell people that you have to pick your battles–and while you’re at it, stop belittling and shaming others. I know, I know, we’re all trying to stay on the right path, but stop imposing what ‘wrongs’ people should or should not commit. If a sister wears a full beat face, and you rock a bare face with only a little kohl, that’s great! But can we please stop being the “haram” police about makeup?! (Rant over.)
