America’s Role in Creating the Refugee Crisis

Conclusion

Trump isn’t making America great.  He’s fostering further anti-American sentiment and extremism.

The refugee crisis and increase in terrorism is undoubtedly a result of America’s failed foreign policies — or perhaps they aren’t failures at all, but policies that are working exactly the way they’re designed to:  To create a continual cycle of conflict and war necessitating American involvement.  There is a clearly identifiable cyclical pattern of destabilizing countries, instigating and backing proxy wars, and toppling regimes to install U.S. proxy rulers or unstable leadership that results in backlash and further conflict.

We will bomb your countries, destabilize your borders, and then leave.  We will collectively punish the civilians that we invaded you to save; we will bomb your countries, then ban you.

The message here is clear and oft-repeated throughout modern history:  As long as your interests align with America’s aggressions, imperialist and economic interests, you’re a partner or an ally — no matter what atrocities you’re committing against your people.

When your interests no longer align with ours, those atrocities will be used as a reason to invade your country and commit acts of terrorism of our own.  We will bomb your countries, destabilize your borders, and then leave.  We will collectively punish the civilians that we invaded you to save; we will bomb your countries, then ban you.
