In Peacock’s new show “We Are Lady Parts,” starring Anjana Vasan, Amina is an awkward but musically talented brown girl trying to keep up with her friends all getting engaged. Her journey leads her to Lady Parts, the Muslim women-led local rock band looking for their lead guitarist. Made up of a slew of diverse characters, including a niqabi and a queer woman, Amina and her new friends navigate the ups and downs of young adulthood, culture, and taking over their local music competition.
