As America and the much of the world recover from the unforeseen victory of Donald J. Trump, it may seem like there isn’t much to celebrate. Especially with the latest updates of Trump’s appointed cabinet members, most of whom are all old White men who’ve expressed white nationalist and Islamophobic sentiments. Sigh.
But, fortunately, there is some light in the dark.
The New York Times included our founding editor’s book, “Muslim Girl: A Coming of Age,” in their “8 Books We Recommend This Week.” The evocative memoir is listed alongside literary giants such as Zadie Smith. The New York Times calls “Muslim Girl” “timely and enlightening.”
