After leaving her job in consulting, Angela Lee Duckworth decided to take on employment as a teacher, where she taught math to seventh graders in a New York public school. Ms. Duckworth soon noticed that IQ or intelligence weren’t the only predictors of success for her students, even in those who struggled or had a tougher time with the material.
