Muslim Girl Takes the Met

On May 20, 2016, thousands of Teens Take the Met to explore how the museum and the Empire State can empower them to take on the world.
And this year, we’re proud to announce that Muslim Girl is part of it!
Muslim Girl is partnering with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, alongside the Global Action Project, Guggenheim Museum, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development and other notable institutions, to be a part of this special night just for young baddies. You get to socialize and connect with the biggest community partners that NYC has to offer!
Teens Take the Met builds teen engagement with the largest art museum in the United States. With galleries from the across the world ranging thousands of years, the museum offers an unrivaled close-up view of history and art. Met partners will be hosting activities throughout the entire venue for teens to enjoy: from writing, drawing and sculpting, to dancing, hunting the galleries and more.

This is a powerful opportunity for teens meet and access the WORLD of connections and resources in New York City. As a media company with an important message about TALKING BACK, we can’t wait to kick it with you.
