Muslim Girl and Kode With Klossy Team Up to Get More Girls In Tech

In honor of the 2023 Muslim Women’s Day celebration, Muslim Girl and Kode With Klossy are teaming up to represent women in coding!

We’re introducing the Muslim Girl Chair in the Kode With Klossy summer camp. That’s two seats reserved for Muslim girls to have the opportunity to get their foot in the door and inspire the next generation of women in TECH.

As you know, Muslim Girl was created out of Amani’s bedroom \while she was  in high school. She  taught herself how to code in order to educate the world about the struggles and narratives of Muslim women in a time when  the Muslim Girl narrative was sought to be irrelevant. Fast forward to 2023, Muslim Girl,is collaborating with  Kode With Klossy to offer you an opportunity to code like a boss! Representation in tech is so important, and this is your chance to learn with experts in a field of high demand.

In 2015, Karlie Klossy took her first coding class at a local school, and in 2016, she launched the first Kode With Klossy summer coding camp open to young women and gender expansive youth between the ages of 13-18. Since then, the camps have grown substantially across the board as the program continues to seek gender equality and  economic opportunity for females. As of 2022,Kode With Klossy launched the first KWK hybrid summer, awarding 4,000 scholarships to in-person and virtual camp scholars across the world and providing loaner laptops to those who needed them – AND they developed their first ever AI (Artificial Intelligence)/ML (Machine Learning) curriculum. Their programs include website development, mobile application development, data science, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.
