Get Ready for the First #MuslimWomensDay Digital Summit

It’s our favorite time of year: Muslim Girl is honored to present our fifth annual #MuslimWomensDay global campaign on March 27 and our 2021 theme of healing, resilience and renewal.

The official digital summit

We’re proud to announce that this year we’ll be hosting our first ever digital summit in celebration of #MuslimWomensDay on March 27, 2021. Hosted by the Muslim Girl Foundation, the summit will bring together top allies from the media and entertainment industry along with the public figures, influencers and activists on the frontlines of creating Muslim youth culture in the digital era. Throughout the day, we’ll be hosting remote conversations online on diverse representation, social impact, allyship and more.  Speakers to be announced this week!

We’ll also be announcing the winners of our $500 Teen Vogue essay contest and our #MuslimWomensDay official logo design competition — with a surprise! You won’t want to miss this.

What is #MuslimWomensDay?

Launched in response to the travel ban in 2017, the #MuslimWomensDay global campaign has grown to become the biggest media day of the year to empower Muslim women’s voices and stories, organized by Muslim Girl along with our high-level partners including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, Spotify and dozens of top brands in the digital media space.

Now celebrating its fifth anniversary, the theme for our 2021 #MuslimWomensDay campaign is healing, renewal, and resilience. We’re holding space to talk about our journeys navigating the Trump era and COVID-19 pandemic, both collectively and individually.
