Right now is a stressful time for all of us, what with a global pandemic occurring, and the United States seemingly having a very difficult time with flattening the curve. Stress management is more important now than ever. Stress causes your body to release cortisol, which can inhibit your logical and rational thinking, but might help you survive life-threatening situations, such as running from a bear or lion. In this TED talk, neuroscientist Daniel Levitin explains how you can possibly avoid making mistakes in stressful situations, when your thinking may be clouded.
