OK politicians, let’s get one thing straight. Placing innocent Muslims in the front line of your battle is not the solution on how to deal with terrorists. Not even close.
For some reason each party seems to have a mutual ideology that Muslims need to be the eyes and ears to protect this country. Apparently, it has all of sudden become our civic duty to report signs of suspicious and potential acts of terrorism that could occur.
Four years after 9/11 happened, Islamic extremism contributed only 6% of the terrorism that takes place in America. So why do we feel like we’re in the spotlight 94% of the time?
What you may not have realized is that most of us have never met a terrorist — and it’s our country too! Let us make this clear to you — we are not Homeland Security, the NSA, or your suicide squad. We hope your Foreign Policy plan isn’t based on that movie either. In an article titled, “All Muslims Are Terrorists… Except For the 94% That Aren’t,” the author concluded that four years after 9/11 happened, Islamic extremism contributed only 6% of the terrorism that takes place in America. So why do we feel like we’re in the spotlight 94% of the time?
In the video shared by Fusion, Yasmin Nouh goes on to explain that when politicians urge Muslims to be a part of the solution, they are indirectly implying that we are part of the problem. American law enforcement has gone above and beyond to satisfy their paranoia by spying on American mosques for years. But it doesn’t stop there. The hostile mentality has even been adopted by TSA agents that feel the need to single out American Muslims when we’re going through airport security.
Little do they know that there are more Muslims becoming victims of terrorism than acts of terrorism committed by Muslims.
When many of us have barely passed Physics and Chemistry, please explain to us how we could possibly construct a bomb and then get it past a metal detector and several TSA agents that can justify being subjected to administered pat downs, hand-wipes, and interrogations. Little do they know that there are more Muslims becoming victims of terrorism than acts of terrorism committed by Muslims. Don’t believe me?
In an article on Global Research Canada titled, “US Government: Muslims are the VICTIMS of ‘Between 82% and 97% of Terrorism-Related Fatalities,'” the United Nations stated that Muslims suffer the most from Daesh and posted a graph to summarize all the countries that are affected by terrorism.
Watch the video above as Nouh explains what it’s like to be Muslim in America right now and the impact this rhetoric has on the millions of Muslims living in the country.
