Liquid lipstick, the answer to all of our prayers. There’s no more eating your lipstick and getting it on your teeth, smearing it on your blanket scarf, or getting it all over your face as you devour a burger. Matte lipsticks have sufficed thus far however it is time to aim for pigmented pop of color that actually stays on your lips. If you can handle the lack of moisture liquid lipsticks tend to have, probably the only significant downside, then these are seriously the best option for a bold matte lip. Below are some options for matte liquid lipsticks that have gotten much attention ranging from $6 to $20. There are options for everyone! I also recommend watching a Youtube product review if you’re contemplating on purchasing that way the beauty guru can give you more information and do color swatches to give you a better idea of colors.
1. Colour Pop: $6.00
(color Beeper)
YouTube review
ColourPop liquid lipsticks has been my latest curiosity, based off of products reviews by gurus and friends I have determined that it is quite the product for the price! It is pigmented and long lasting however it can definitely be drying and certain darker colors require a couple of layers of application for the color to really pop. But you cannot beat that price that being said, this is definitely going to be my next beauty purchase once my pay check comes through hehe.
2. Sephora Collection $14.00
I own a couple of the Sephora matte lipsticks and despite the fact that there are not many color choices, I think this is a great affordable option for a matte pigment. However you do have to line your lips before applying so it look clean. This liquid lipstick lasts me approximately four hours.
3. Coloured Raine $16.50
(beautiful BasmaK)
Basma just makes this look all too tempting. Based on the reviews I read, it certainly does not require a lot of product for the color to “pop” and look prominent which is a total plus.
4. Kat Von D (My personal favorite) $20.00
(Beauty guru: Amrezy)
I own Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick in the color “Lolita” (pictured above) and I really do love it. One thing I love most about it is that it looks different on everyone making it kind of unique to you. I would also recommend that you remove any dead skin on your lips prior to applying it for optimal results. It lasts me about six hours and it is fully pigmented.
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills $20.00
(Beauty guru: Teena)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick definitely live up to the hype, all of her products are fantastic. However you do have to a wait a little bit before the product dries nicely to your lips and you do have to line your lips for the best clean result.
Okay, so if those amazing pictures didn’t make you gasp with amazement and excitement then you should probably just stick to your regular lipstick. But for those of you who are just as excited as I am about this liquid lipstick craze, happy makeup-ing and happy clean eating!!
