Suspect Responsible for the Chelsea Explosion Has Been Caught

Ahmad Khan Rahami, the alleged bombing suspect of the bombings that took place this weekend in Chelsea, Manhattan, has been captured, according to several sources.
Rahami, 28, was found sleeping in the hallway at a local bar this morning in Linden, N.J. Millions of residents received a text message from New Jersey police to keep a lookout for Rahami and he was “armed and dangerous.”
He was wounded after a gunfight with the police and was taken into custody. An officer was also injured during the gunfight. Rahami is believed to be responsible for the explosion in Manhattan on Saturday and an earlier bombing in New Jersey.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio issued a statement following the explosion saying there wss no evidence that the incident was terrorism.
However, after the capturing of Rahami, he said, “that there is every reason to believe that the attacks were an act of terror.”
Although Rahami is  Afghani and also an American citizen, Ted Cruz issued a ban on refugees from the Middle East.

“Terrorist attacks over the last several days across our homeland, from Manhattan to Minnesota,” the Texas senator said, “indicate we are moving into a new phase of the war against ISIS and al Qaida, who are increasingly targeting Europe and the United States.”
