Look Who’s Joining Us in ‘The Girls’ Room’!

We’re excited to announce that next week’s episode of The Girls’ Room, FERGUSON: NOW WHAT? will have two additional surprise guests!

Our epic Google Hangout with you on Wednesday will be joined by:

  • Suhad Khatib, Community Organizer, St. Louis Palestine Solidarity Committee
  • Ahmad Abuznaid, Legal & Policy Director, Dream Defenders

After the federal decision to clear Darren Wilson of any civil rights offenses in the shooting of Mike Brown, Suhad will provide us some insight into what this means for the Ferguson community and how it will effect our shared movement moving forward.

As an organizer of the #BlackLivesMatter contingent to Palestine, Ahmad will be giving a report back to the community of their historic trip and key takeaways for Palestine-Ferguson solidarity.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to hang with us and ask questions directly to our guests using the hashtag #MGFerguson on Twitter. Other badass speakers that will be joining us are Ashley Yates, Brittany Ferrell, Linda Sarsour, Dawud Walid, Khaled Beydoun, and Darakshan Raja. To learn more about them and the topics we will be discussing, check out our blog post for this TGR episode here.

Don’t miss your chance to kick it with this stellar group of movers and shakers in our civil rights landscape. Invite your friends and RSVP to this gathering on Facebook here.
