Happy Holidays!
I know some of us may not celebrate them all but it’s still a time where all families and friends love to get together, have fun and most importantly — eat.
I know some of you are probably thinking “Shoot…What do I wear? Can I just show up in my pajamas?” — Trust me, I’ve considered it.
Here are some looks for you all to stay comfy and classy this holiday season — and that suit every style.
1. Sweater Weather
Not all of us like to over dress for these gatherings. Some of us enjoy staying comfy and at home — an oversized sweater is perfect because it’s easy to just throw on over a basic bottom and have an easy and complete look without the hassle. You can look back into my other post, 3 Effortless Looks for more “comfy” outfits.
2. My “Eating Pants”
We’ve all heard this reference on TV: the special types of pants specifically for when copious amounts of food is involved. Now, I love skinny jeans, but when all that holiday food is around, the best go-to are stretchy palazzo pants.
Eat all you want without the worry of not being able to breathe in your jeans.
3. All Dressed Up
Maybe it’s a special holiday party, and you really want to set that “wow” factor. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box a little bit, you’ll definitely steal the show at the party.
Go for a classy dress with a statement necklace or an elegant skirt. This way you’ll still be comfortable — and make a statement as well.
4. Night Out
A lot of us enjoy going out in the city, out around town, etc. But sometimes it’s just too cold to suffer through a proper outfit — too cold to be alive, basically.
Here’s a simple secret that I’ll share with you all: invest in a nice coat. Yes, it’s worth it.
Zip up the coat over a basic look like a sweater dress or a simple jeans and basic tee combo, pair it with heels or knee high boots and there you go. You’ll look incredible, and also be warm enough to brave the cold. Check out the coats above from Zara + H&M — perfect staple pieces.
Enjoy your holidays and happy eating!
