#GazaUnderAttack: Israeli Forces Continue to Cross the Line

#GazaUnderAttack

Over the past few days, Israeli forces launched attacks and air raids against stone-throwing Palestinians marking the 15th anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death. In a series of disproportionate and bloody attacks that claimed the lives of at least 34 people, Israeli forces indiscriminately targeted homes and schools under the guise of smoking out Hamas targets.

In a particularly unspeakable tragedy, Israeli armed forces admitted to targeting a house that they assumed was empty, instead taking the lives of eight members of a family, including 3 adults and five young children.

This ill-intentioned intimidation tactic turned cold-blooded murder has led the Israeli army to announce a probe into the “unexpected” civilian deaths. No doubt, this brings little hope or opportunity for justice to the Palestinians who have been under brutal occupation by overtly aggressive Israeli forces for decades now.

As a precarious ceasefire threatens to fold into fresh bursts of violence, we turn to Twitter to understand the deeply disturbing situation on the ground in Palestine. For those who have lost their lives demanding basic rights and justice, for those who have lost their lives for simply existing in Palestine, inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon. Long live Palestine:
