Remember all those times people would comment about the burqa ban in France saying how telling women they can’t cover up is the same thing as telling women to cover up? And that patrolling women’s bodies whether its telling them to cover up or not is still wrong?
And how the French government was doing the same thing as Daesh and Taliban and so on? Well, it seems like they’re more alike then ever since the fundamentalist group Daesh now decided that burqas are — get this — a security threat.
Press TV reports that the group that once punished women for showing up in public without their face covered in Syria and Iraq have now banned the burqa in their security and military facilities in Mosul, Iraq.
This comes after several high ranking Daesh commanders were attacked by women in burqas.
The ban is only in regards to burqas, women there are still required to cover themselves including wearing gloves and gauze to cover their eyes.
In an ironic twist of events, Daesh has stepped on its own foot.
