CAIR-Florida Is Alerting That the FBI Is Interviewing Muslims

The Council on American-Islamic Relations of Florida released an official press statement this past Saturday warning its local Muslim population that the FBI is interviewing Muslims nationwide. This operation comes just two days before the presidential elections–and multiple members of the Floridian Muslim community have been already interviewed, mainly of either Afghani or Pakistani background.

The official Press Statement Given By CAIR-Florida has been sent out via email and was also posted on their Facebook page. “We are extremely worried this FBI operation is happening less than two days short of the upcoming Presidential election,” it said. “We want to make sure that everybody in our community is aware of their Constitutional right to have legal representation when called for questioning by the FBI or by any other Federal Law Enforcement agent.”

The organization a has legal team prepared in case of an emergency state to provide representation if needed, and a 24/7 hotline that will provide assistance in case of interrogation by the FBI. They have also linked a pdf for Muslims on a Facebook post to know their rights for reference.
