I’m pretty disappointed by this article, especially given the fact that the author now has a Master’s degree in a mental health field and has this great platform to communicate through.. Giving people who may have problems statistics is not helpful. Telling them they have problems is not helpful. This article would have been useful if it actually including some words of advice or resources. You want people to care about their mental health, but don’t tell them how to do it. For those reading this who are looking for tangible advice, I would say, please talk to your doctor about how you’re feeling next time you have a check up.. or if you don’t see a doctor you can call 1-800-273-TALK if you’re ever feeling really bad or even suicidal. That hotline is open 24/7 and can connect you to local resources. If you’re a middle or high school student, you can talk to your school counselor. If you’re a college student, most colleges have counseling centers as well. Parents who are worried about themselves or their children should also reach out to these resources.
