Here Are 10 Nasheeds to Bless Your Ramadan Nights

We are halfway through Ramadan already, and in order to keep the spirit of Ramadan going, I’ve compiled a list of nasheeds to listen to. A lot of these nasheeds are ones my friends and I used to listen to when we were younger, and they’re very nostalgic for us. I hope you will enjoy these childhood favorites:

1. Qasida Burdah – Mesut Kurtis

This nasheed is upbeat and is one of my ultimate favorite versions of the Burdah. Imam Al-Busiri narrated it as a tribute to the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) via LearnAboutIslam.in.

2. Don’t Talk to Me About Muhammad – Dawud Wharnsby Ali

Dawud Wharnsby Ali puts a beautiful hadith about not being too judgemental into a nasheed. This is the one about an elderly woman who had heard horrible things about the Prophet (S.A.W.) which she tells him as he’s quietly carrying her things. This is one of those powerful hadiths turned into a nasheed that everyone should listen to until the very end of the clip.

3. We’ve Scanned the Sky – Dawud Wharnsby Ali

“And we’ve scanned the sky and we’ve sighted the moon… “ is a childhood favorite! Honestly, Dawud Wharnsby Ali is one of my favorite Islamic childhood singers. He’s got a wide range of songs, but this is the one I enjoy listening to near Ramadan before the moon sighting nights begin.

4. Give Thanks to Allah – Zain Bhikha

If you need a nasheed that serves as a reminder to be grateful for the blessings in your life, then this is for you! Zain Bhikha’s “Give Thanks to Allah” reminds us to be thankful for the simple things in life, such as the moon and the stars. He reminds us to hold on to our faith and given the current times, it’s a timely reminder for all of us.

5. Ramadan Is Here – Native Deen

This is more upbeat than some of the others on this list. This is the perfect nasheed to get you into continuing the Ramadan spirit. I think this nasheed is also good for those who want to reminisce about what it was like to fast and attend school.

6. Ya Nabi Salam Alayka – Maher Zain

A beautiful nasheed by Maher Zain from his album “Thank You Allah.” I think fans of Sami Yusuf will enjoy Maher Zain’s nasheeds. It’s upbeat and you’ll feel content listening to it.

7. Tala Al Badru Alayna – Yusuf Islam

Although there are many versions of this song, this is the one that stood out to me. Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) does a fantastic cover of it in English and Arabic. “Tala Al Badru Alayna” has always been one of my favorite nasheeds, and this is one of my favorite versions of the song.
