The Climb

The Climb

When we look back at how we got the calluses on our hands and the sores on our feet, we’ll remember the mountains we climbed and how we conquered defeat.

We were tired and damn near dying but we were strong and alive.

It’s the hardest thing we ever had to do — Living. Falling. Climbing.

But it’s the most rewarding.

We’ll remember the best parts were not the mountain top but being exhausted, getting back up, having no air to breathe

but nonetheless, inhaling struggle and exhaling success.

We were young.

We were hurt but we were strong.

We were determined.

We made a friend out of the very mountain we struggled to climb.

When we look back at how we got the calluses on our hands and the sores on our feet, we’ll remember that our hearts are strong and we never faced defeat.
