By Let’s face it, who doesn’t get a little bit envious around Christmas time when everything is beautifully decorated with mesmerizing lights, gorgeous trees, and colorful ornaments that make the spirit of the holidays come alive?
Things are changing for us Muslims in the West, though. Although the tradition of decorating for Ramadan and the Eid has been a big part of our religion overseas, we’ve slowly started to see the festivities get just a little more festive on this side of the world.
Over the past few years, I have been loving the Muslim Ramadan and Eid decorations popping up. It really brings the excitement home for our holidays.
If you were wondering how you can liven up your home (or presents) for Eid this year, here are nine simple ways to have fun and look festive.

- This company has made it possible for you to get your crafty side into high gear by making these adorable DIY paper mosque lantern decorating pieces for your home.
- What home would be complete without this Eid Mubarak wooden sign? I’ll take two, please!
- On the first day of Eid, my true love gave to me…five golden Eid lights! Okay, maybe I’m letting the festivities confuse my music choices, but these lights are illuminating!
- Since you can never have enough decorations to celebrate Eid, you can make this cute DIY Eid Mubarak ribbon if you’re up to the challege! (P.S. – It’s really not that challenging. I bet you’ll have a great time making it as well. In fact, you may want to make some for your friends and family.)
