MuslimGirl Got Pre-Launch Access to Uniqlo x Hana Tajima’s New Collection

Growing up, Hana Tajima was one of the fashion icons I followed and saw everywhere — From Lookbook to Youtube to Tumblr. The Muslim British-Japanese blogger and designer is changing the way fashion is viewed across the globe. So when Uniqlo announced that they were collaborating with her on the spring/summer collection here in the U.S., you can probably guess I was pretty excited.
Hana has offered a variety of modest and versatile clothing, from casual pieces like long, flowing skirts and dresses, tapered pants and blouses to more traditional wear like abayas and hijab.
The designs are detailed and comfortable, made to make you look and feel good.
On behalf of MuslimGirl, I got to attend her pre-launch of the event at Uniqlo’s 5th Avenue Flagship store. It was a lovely evening and here are some pictures, including some of the outfits on the models to get an idea on different looks!
The silhouettes and architecture of all the looks absolutely left me in awe. (Props to these models for the ability to stand there for the whole event.)
